You care for others, but who cares for you?

The whole purpose of the Carers Coffee Pot is to bring to you support , guidance and knowledge from my own experience as a past community support worker.

I may not be able to ‘physically’ do this job now(back injury) which I absolutely adored but I can pass on to you what I have learned.

Carers, in any shape or form are an elite. Hardly ever recognised for what they do and most certainly never paid what they are worth. A very underestimated profession…and yes, in my mind it is a profession.

By sharing with you my own journey of ups and downs, I certainly hope you will see there may be ‘something’ in it which rings a few bells for you too!

We are in this together, yes?!

I want to focus mainly on Compassion Fatigue, Dignity and Bereavement.

You will find support pages within the Carers Coffee Pot website to each of these as a quick reference and please do have a look.

However, it is here within the blog I shall be opening up.

So get ready for the laughter and tears and together lets bring the importance of your wellbeing into the limelight.

For now just reflect on this,

You care for others, but who cares for you?
